Our Team

Rev. Mark Bersche has faithfully served as pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church since June 2011. A graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he is passionate about preaching God's Word, teaching the Christian faith, and helping people grow in their understanding of Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions.

Pastor Bersche and his wife, Wendy, have three adult children—Jaedan, Taylor, and Ashleigh—and are blessed with a granddaughter who brings great joy to their family.

In his free time, Pastor Bersche enjoys reading, studying history, spending time with family, and engaging in thoughtful conversation. Before entering the ministry, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the late 1980s.

Wendy Bersche has served as the Office Administrator at St. John's Lutheran Church since May 2023. She enjoys supporting the congregation's ministry through communication, organization, and creative outreach efforts that help connect members and visitors with the life of the church.

Before joining the church staff, Wendy worked as a registered nurse and later became a published children's book author. She brings a practical, servant-hearted approach to her work and enjoys helping ministries and events run smoothly.

Outside of the office, Wendy treasures time with her family, especially her role as "Mimi" to her granddaughter, Everleigh.

  St. John's Lutheran Church is pleased to welcome Galina Brauer as our organist. A recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in music, Galina brings both talent and a love for sacred music to our church family.

Through her gifts as a musician, Galina helps lead the congregation in worship and enriches our services with the beauty of Lutheran hymnody and sacred music. We are thankful for her service and look forward to the many blessings she will bring to our church family.

Peter has faithfully served as one of St. John's audio-visual technicians for more than three years, helping support worship services and special events through sound, media, and technology. His background in graphic design and visual communication brings valuable creativity and technical expertise to the congregation's ministry.

Peter and his family have been longtime members of St. John's and are grateful to serve alongside their church family.

Steve serves as one of St. John's audio-visual technicians, helping support worship services and special events through his technical knowledge and experience in information technology. His expertise helps ensure that audio, video, and presentation systems operate smoothly for both in-person and online ministry.

Steve and his wife, Kristin, along with their children, James and Stephanie, are active members of St. John's and are grateful to serve as part of the congregation's church family.
